Un atlante/mostra che raccoglie i frammenti della vita lagunare invisibile. Un diario attraverso la bellezza dell’ecosistema Venezia in cui coabitiamo .

Here you will find fragments of the Lagoon’s Invisible Life. A diary through the beauty of the ecosystem-Venice we want to be part of.
 


Un padiglione diffuso per scoprire la vita silenziosa con cui co-abitiamo la laguna.

Un atlante/mostra che raccoglie i frammenti della vita lagunare invisibile. Un diario attraverso la bellezza dell’ecosistema Venezia in cui coabitiamo .


“Con i suoi 550 km2 di superficie, la Laguna di Venezia è uno dei più importanti ecosistemi di transizione del Mediterraneo.Negli ultimi anni la Laguna è stata devastata dal turismo di massa, dall’aumento del traffico navale,inquinamento, pesca distruttiva e siamo spettatori della perdita di circa il 45% della sua biodiversità in termini di esemplari.“(fonte: Rapporto Legambiente 2021)

Su scala globale, siamo spettatori della sesta estinzione di massa nella storia del pianeta Terra. La ricerca ha evidenziato che entro l'anno 1500 tra il 7,5 e il 13 per cento dei 2 milioni di specie conosciute sarebbero scomparse dal nostro pianeta. "Si tratta di un numero enorme: significa che non esistono più dalle 150.000 alle 260.000 specie". (fonte: Recensioni Biologiche CPS)


Venezia è attualmente la città che tutti conosciamo per la sua bellezza manifesta “fuori dall'acqua”. Ma la bellezza veneziana è attualmente iscritta in un sistema stratificato e complesso: la Laguna di Venezia. Siamo, come cittadini, parte del sistema urbano. Ma, come ESSERI UMANI, siamo consapevoli dell'ecosistema lagunare di cui facciamo parte?

Il padiglione della biodiversità è una mostra con opere AR (Temporary Atmospheres,Kamel Ghabte,MediaCoeli), soundscape immersivo (Anne Wichmann aka She’s Excited), performance (Ludovica Ballarin) e foto/video (M.Battezzati/M.Pirisi/E.Pizzutto).

Il progetto newyorkese MakeUsVisible arriva a Venezia per mostrare e dare voce alla biodiversità con cui condividiamo l'ecosistema Lagunare.
La mostra è curata dal Venice Climate Change Pavilion (Youth4Ocean Award 2022) e dal progetto newyorkese MakeUsVisible (fondato da XRE Ensemble) per mostrare la connessione fra interspecie, e allo stesso tempo la drastica riduzione di biodiversità a cui stiamo assistendo negli ultimi anni.

Il progetto, ospitato da Venice Calls nel Chiostro di SS.Cosma e Damiano, si inscrive nell’iniziativa Europea “EMDEuropeanMaritimeDayinmycountry” 2022 e nell'agenda 2030 con gli obiettivi n.11 (Sustainable cities) e n.4 (Underwater Life).
L'obiettivo del progetto MakeUsVisible (NYC) a VENEZIA è quello di dare voce attraverso l'arte digitale agli esemplari in via di estinzione della laguna.La metodologia di un padiglione digitale diffuso diffuso in città e lo strumento di AR per la visualizzazione dei dati scientifici trova le sue radici nel Progetto Venice Climate Change Pavilion avviato a maggio 2021.Per iniziare ad agire come ESSERI ECO-SISTEMICI e non EGO-SISTEMICI.

ANNE WICHMANN aka SHE’S  EXCITED (NY/Germany) feat. Clara Francesca (NY/AU)

She’s Excited! is the award-winning Indie Electronic music producer and powerhouse performer Anne Wichmann who is based in New York City and Munich. Her work as composer and sound artist is about empowerment and making space for the union of the opposites so that both sadness and beauty can unfold. Anne had the idea for #MakeUsVisible in November 2021 and started it in NYC with her artist and curatorial collective XRE. She has played stages and festivals like Theatron, Muffathalle, MONDO NYC, DigitalAnalog Festival, Female:Pressure Festival at NuBlu, Ars Electronica Festival, Street Live Festival and more. Clara Francesca, is an award-winning artist, director, and speech coach with a passion for unlocking the individual's authentic heart-voice-connection: investigating co-existence in a diverse world. She explores this by integrating immersive theatrical practices in collaboration with musicians, scientists and digital artists. Clara holds a BA in Laws & Biomedical Sciences from Monash University, meditatively sung at the NYC Hayden Planetarium, and is a member of NYC’s SITI Company’s Inaugural Conservatory Alumni. Kamel Ghabte is a versatile digital artist who develops My DIGITAL FOOD, different tools & programmes revolving around real time digital interactivity. He’s a consultant & composer of electronic music & an instructor in digital audio & digital interactivity. Kamel is a certified Apple pro. His work revolves around artistic language, computer science & audio & visual content. His questioning focuses on the processes of artistic exchange & the answers he gives are related to retranscription.

TEMPORARY ATMOSPHERES (NYC/UIO)

By Daniel Cevallos Andrade,  Architect, MSc in Architectural Communication by Technical Superior School of Architecture of Madrid,  multidisciplinary artist, research, musician, and co-founder of Temporary Atmospheres, interactive architecture, and digital art studio based in NYC & UIO, His works have been presented in many  international exhibitions, conferences, awards, and academic journals such as Queens-Museum 2018, Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale 2019, ArsElectronica 2020, Lightbox Creative Code Festival, Contemporary  Venice 2021, Digital Art Month Paris, MMMAD Festival, MAB 2021 Amsterdam. Currently lead artist of Temporary Atmospheres, research, experimental and artistic lab, focused on the intersection of new  technologies with human interaction, raising awareness of the danger and the potential to the implementation thereof in the hyper-city. Since the field of speculation he could find a gap to introduce  artistically, artworks, that reflect-critic the collaborative and participatory process in the develop of the hyper-city, avoiding the tyranny and totalitarianism of governments and industries which try to  rule the dynamic and behavior of contemporary societies.
